Chipola College offers a state-of-the-art facility with outstanding instructors to help you reach the goal of becoming a Certified Correctional Officer. The program meets meeting Mon-Thurs, 7:30a-4:30p for 2 ½ months. An initial investment of $1600 prepares you for a $30,000 a year career!

Courses of study consist of 9 general classes and 3 high liability classes that make up the 420 clock hours of study. The general classes take place in the classroom and teach basic principles needed to become a professional in the field of corrections. The high liability classes are made up of defensive tactics, first aid and firearms and take place on both the mat and range.

Graduates are certified to work with the State of Florida Department of Corrections, county jails or any of the private prisons throughout the state.
