Here at Chipola College we are excited to announce that we have revamped all of our Fire Fighting programs. We now offer a variety of new courses for our Fire Fighting classes.

All of the courses offered can be taken as part of the program or as individual courses.

Career Firefighter

To be a Career Firefighter in the State of Florida, an individual MUST hold a Firefighter II certification. To obtain this certification an individual must have completed several classes and then pass a state exam. These classes are First Responder, Firefighter I and Firefighter II and are offered in a variety of ways.

NOTE: ADVANCED FIREFIREFIGHTER CLASSES!!!!

1. EMERGENCY VEHICLE DRIVER TRAINING (VFIS)
2. FIRE SERVICE COURSE DELIVERY (FFP 1740)
3. LIVE FIRE TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (LFT1)
4. FIREFIGHTER LOST DRILL (BLACK OUT)
5. LIVE BURN

FIREFIGHTING MINIMUM STANDARDS.
